The Doctors

Dr. Steven Milden graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He started the Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in 1994. A central New Jersey native, he received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is married and the proud parent of three sons and one daughter. He presently shares his home with two dogs and one cat. When he is not at the veterinary hospital, he enjoys coaching soccer and watching his children’s sports endeavors.

Dr. Dena Balsama graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, University of London, in 2000. Prior to this, she received her undergraduate degree in biology from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. A native of south New Jersey, she joined the Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2001. She is married and shares her home with two daughters, two cats, and two dogs. She loves spending free time with her family and also enjoys both quilting and running.

Dr. Julie Scholten graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and joined the staff of the Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2004. A native of Iowa, she now lives in south New Jersey, where she shares her house with one cat and two ferrets. An avid volunteer in the community, she enjoys cooking and hiking.

Dr. Adam Miller attended the Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and graduated in 2004. Prior to this, he received his degree in animal science from the Cornell University College of Life Sciences. A native of central New Jersey, he joined the Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2006. He is married with one son, two daughters, and one cat. His interests include yard work, working on his home, and spending time with his children.

Dr. Jessica Morrissey graduated in 2007 from the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in small animal science from Delaware Valley College. A native of south New Jersey, she joined Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2007. She shares her home with her husband, five dogs, and two cats. When not caring for patients, she enjoys hiking with her dogs and participating in other outdoor activities.
