Dr. Steven Milden
Veterinarian

Dr. Steven Milden

Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He started the Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in 1994 and is still owner of the practice. A central New Jersey native, he received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is married and the proud parent of three sons and one daughter. He presently shares his home with two dogs and one cat. When he is not at the veterinary hospital, he enjoys coaching soccer and watching his children’s sports endeavors.

Dr. Dena Balsama
Veterinarian

Dr. Dena Balsama

Graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, University of London, in 2000. Prior to this, she received her undergraduate degree in biology from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. A native of south New Jersey, she joined the Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2001. She is married and shares her home with two daughters, two rescued pit bulls, Buffy the Frenchie, three cats, two birds, twelve chickens, ducks and a beehive! In her free time, she stays busy by baking, gardening, running, and supporting her daughters' theatrical endeavors. Dr. Balsama is a Boston qualified marathon runner and a member of the Mullica Hill Women's Triathalon Club.

Dr. Julie D’Alessandro
Veterinarian

Dr. Julie D’Alessandro

Dr. Julie D'Alessandro graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a grateful member of Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital since 2004. Along with treating and helping dogs and cats, Dr. Julie has a special interest in exotic species such as rabbits, reptiles, ferrets and small rodents. Outside of caring for pets, she loves spending time with her family, baking, and reading. 

Dr. Hannah Frank
Veterinarian

Dr. Hannah Frank

Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. A native of Altoona, Pennsylvania, she joined the practice after graduation. Dr. Frank currently shares her home with her husband, four cats, and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, and watching movies.

Dr. Margot Thompson-Watkins
Veterinarian

Margot Thompson-Watkins

Graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Animal Science from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL. Dr. Thompson-Watkins now resides in New Jersey, and she joined Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital in June 2015. She is married with three children, including a set of fraternal twins, and she shares her home with two dogs, a cat, two parrots, and fish. When she is not caring for patients, she enjoys teaching and traveling. She is also very active in church-related activities as a Eucharistic Minister, and minister to the sick and homebound. 

Dr. Joshua Brunermer
Veterinarian

Dr. Joshua Brunermer

Born and raised in Mullica Hill, Dr. Joshua Brunermer attended Virginia Tech for a B.S. in Biochemistry, after which he continued his education and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. He returned to Mullica Hill and began practicing at Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital after receiving his DVM. He currently lives with his loyal mutt Jameson, who shares his love for hiking trails and outdoor events. During his free time, Dr. Brunermer enjoys exploring new recipes to cook, reading, and traveling to the beach.

Dr. Courtney Stipp
Veterinarian

Dr. Courtney Stipp

Dr. Stipp grew up in South Harrison, NJ where she started at Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary technician in 2012. She graduated from Delaware Valley College with an animal science degree and livestock specialization. She then pursued her career in veterinary medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine graduating with a mixed animal focus (Go Vols!). She came back to South Jersey where she resides in Salem County with her two dogs and two horses. Dr. Stipp started at Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital as a veterinarian in May 2021. She loves seeing all patients, both big and small. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, showing cattle, horseback riding and cooking/baking. 

Dr. Tracey Milden

Dr. Tracey Milden

Graduated from The University of Sydney, Australia in 2022. Dr. Tracey grew up working along side her father at Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital as a kennel technician, a receptionist, a veterinary assistant and is now finally joining the team as a veterinarian. She currently shares her home with her golden retriever, Rory and her yellow lab, Eevee. Her main interests include dogs, cats, goats, pigs and birds. 

Dr. Sam Giannone
Veterinarian

Dr. Sam Giannone

Graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023, and received her bachelor's degree in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley University in 2019. Dr. Sam grew up in Swedesboro, NJ and is happy to be back in South Jersey after earning her DVM. She has a dog named Stanley, a cat named Hazel, and a bird named Ozzy! Outside of work, Dr. Sam loves playing with her fur babies, spending time with her friends and family, and traveling or experiencing new places. She enjoys a variety of patients and excited about joining our team at Delaware Valley Veterinary Hospital! 

Dr. Marcella Mancini
Veterinarian

Dr. Marcella Mancini

Dr. Mancini graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 2023 and received her bachelor's degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences as well as Agriculture and Natural Resources from University of Delaware in 2019. Dr. Mancini grew up in Mullica Hill, NJ and has been part of the Del Val team as a veterinary technician since 2018. She is so happy to be continuing her journey as a veterinarian where her career first started. She has a little dog named Darla, along with two cats named Lucifer and Dash- all rescued during her time at vet school! When she's not at work, you can find her hanging out with her friends and family, snuggling with her fur babies, and attending Philadelphia sporting events. She can't wait to meet you and your furry and scaly friends!  

Dr. Justin Praslicka
Veterinarian

Justin Praslicka

Dr. Praslicka graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 after earning a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A & M University in 2006. He was born and raised in Waxahachie, Texas. After completing his education, he embarked on a career in veterinary medicine, initially practicing for a year in his home state before relocating to South Jersey. Dr. Praslicka shares his home with his wife, two daughters and a cat named Gus. He enjoys spending time with his family, anything outdoors and all sports.
